Sleep, deep tissue massage, active release, osteopathy can be added to this list. Paying attention to the mental and emotional side of recovery is equally important. Quality rest, yoga, breathing exercises, post exercise journaling, letting go of mistakes, recovering from setbacks, carving out personal and social time (time management) are other useful techniques to stay energized and prevent burnout.
